JICA training course "Biodiversity Information System"

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) conducted a training course "Biodiversity Information System" from 1998 to 2013 in Japan. Biodiversity Center of Japan, Ministry of the Environment accepted participants as one of the implementing organizations since the beginning of the course. click here

  • Purpose
  • The purpose of this course is to contribute for the planning and actual development of the Biodiversity Information System (BIS) through on-site training of collection, analysis and online information sharing.

  • Participants
  • Young and middle level planner who engages in management of the Department of Nature Conservation or Biodiversity Conservation with more than three (3) years of experience in this field.

  • Curriculum
  • Participants shall have opportunities in Japan to build up the capacity on planning and implementation of Biodiversity Information System through the lectures, field practical, site visits and discussions.
