Safekeeping biodiversity-related biological and intellectual property

Biodiversity Center collects the results of the Green Census, including reports and drawings, as well as other documents on the natural environment and biodiversity, and holds them in safekeeping for future generations. To assist with research efforts, the center also preserves specimens of rare wildlife (including the Japanese Crested Ibis and Iriomote Cat), and other important specimens that might otherwise be lost if dispersed among universities and research institutes.
